On December 1, 2018, we took home 2nd Place (actually tied with Shelly Scales & Associates) for our Riley Park 2 bathroom design.
It’s pretty exciting and winning an award never gets old!
Thanks to the BC Chapter of the NKBA for the award!
P.S. I actually started the design contest that has become the DEA Awards at the BC Chapter in 2013 while volunteering as a Chapter Officer.
I couldn’t be prouder to see what it has become.

How do you space plan a house that had 3 substantial renovations in the last 40 years and is just WRONG?
It was a busy weekend, last. IDSWest knocked another big and beautiful show out of the preverbal PNW ballpark again. It's such a great show now, and so. much. happened. For the first time in IDSWest history, my break-out session with Judith A. Neary, CMKBD was sold out; and if that wasn't a banner day to report, I don't know what is.
Sometimes the cool things we get to design ("get to", meaning "not entitled to" but rather the glorious recipient of cool ideas) never make it off the design boards. We go through iterations and layering to create that customized look. There are situations where the best of ideas are chopped because of budget, timing, or even material selection. I always say that design is a negotiation of all those things.
Every wonder where to start with your ideas for your upcoming project?
A glimpse into the process behind planning a fabric and finishes scheme. I'm calling this one West Coast Chic, but it's really open to interpretation. Heck, it could almost be West Coast Sultan's Tent!
