Gessi: Challenging the place of water delivery #blogtourLDN

I have a lot of conversations in my professional career, and academic career, about the cleansing area of the home. Once such conversation was between myself and a student when they were searching for inspiration images for a project I assigned. They found an image of a bathroom but could not understand how the water was delivered into the tub, and then they saw this long, sleek, sensual tub filler that hung from the ceiling. That's Gessi.

The notion of "challenging the place of water delivery" seems to be the mantra of Gessi, but it is unseeingly likely that most of the population will conform. The mere idea that the cleansing centre of the home, the bath, might be in the openness of the rest of the social spaces isn't a new idea, actually. In medieval times, it was quite common for guests in a home to be greeted with a bath in the single room dwelling, complete with a fried chicken dinner being served. Okay, I exaggerate a bit, but guests were served meals as a social experience in the tub.

Gessi meets the challenge of today's common perception in a new and interesting way by revolutionizing design and aesthetic of plumbing fittings. Plumbing fittings of artistic merit.

I hope you enjoy these sensual images of plumbing porn.
